The story of Café Modelé
Hello,
I’m Aryann, founder of Café Modelé (I’m wearing pink in the middle of the photo). I created this space with a simple idea in mind: to offer Brussels a place where people can wind down, relax and let their hands tell stories in colours.
After years of travelling, working in the field for Médecins Sans Frontières and discovering cultures that celebrate handmade crafts, I came to realise how creativity brings people together. That’s what inspired me to imagine a café where people can paint, share and feel good in a place that actually does you good. Café Modelé, founded in the autumn of 2024, is a workshop-café where everyone can express themselves, experiment, relax… and leave with a unique piece, a fond memory, something that lasts. Welcome to my world. I hope you’ll feel at home here.

Located in the lively and welcoming Marolles neighbourhood, Café Modelé is a place where you immediately feel at home. Natural light, soft colours and the aroma of coffee create a soothing atmosphere, ideal for relaxing and letting your creativity run free.
The vision of Café Modelé is to create a dynamic and inclusive meeting place where people of all ages and backgrounds can come together to enjoy a fair trade coffee or a local beer and inspiring artistic experiences, promoting creativity, connection and a sense of belonging in Brussels. We are committed to sourcing short-chain, sustainable food products and contributing positively to the cultural and social fabric of Brussels.
